Project Description:

A re-design of the 10-acre Ponce de Leon Park inclusive of existing beach, chapel area, Harborwalk/observation point, and boat ramp.  The remaining area will be used in the most practical way providing a play area maximizing parking for cars and boat trailers and new restrooms. 

Peace River Wildlife Center:  The City Council of the City of Punta Gorda has donated one acre of property within Ponce de Leon Park for the construction of a new facility for Peace River Wildlife Center (PRWC).  At this time the engineering for location within the park and building plans have not been approved.  Negotiations with PRWC have not been finalized with City Council.
